Tekpub: The Story

We have a simple mission: empowering developers through education that's free of bias and sales pitches.

A Better Way

In 2009, James Avery and Rob Conery founded Tekpub with the singular goal of educating current and future developers; opening their minds to the wild and exciting frontier that is the tech industry.

For far too long, information has been disseminated by software companies seeking to lock in armies of developers, or publishing houses looking to push reams of paper onto shelves as fast as they can, fighting their own broken processes.

An educated mind is a free mind. Too many developers feel devoted to a single approach, platform, or toolset because that's all they know. This type of devotion stifles progress, innovation, and scholarly discussion - all in favor of "faith-based" arguments that all stem from one thing: a lack of exposure to the bigger technical world.

This is your career, your life. You should be the one to choose what works best for you - and that's why we're here. A picture is worth a 1000 words! This applies to video too. We've been told many times that our content does laps around corresponding book titles - and we're proud of that!

A Great Opportunity For All

Video learning is blowing up right now, and Tekpub is right at the forefront, blazing the trail with other amazing companies and individuals. This learning process is becoming so popular because it works.

We encourage you to have a look through our library but don't stop there.

It's easy to get hooked on this stuff - it's so much more fun to learn something rather than watch Yet Another Reality TV Show when you have time on your hands.

So, be sure to also check out our friends and support them as well! This is a new industry - one that needs your help. Knowledge is power.

A smarter you makes a smarter industry for all
